How does it work?
I try to be understanding but I find myself getting so angry. I'm really glad to hear a few of you have stories of happy interfaith relationships, or leaving the church together, so there's always a chance. We talked during the break and saw each other a few times before he moved, but he finally ended things a month into the break telling me "he loves me, but is no longer in love with me" and "doesn't think he can regain the passion. If she was anything like me, that idea is probably foreign, radical, confusing, interesting, and inspiring to her. RUN like the wind. I am 27, LDS, and 5 days away from marrying my own amazing non-Mormon man. I've been doing it wrong. A lot of people will tell you to run but if she is in her late 20s most Mormon guys her age are married.
She encourages me to develop my skills and talents, and provides an example in several of those areas. He has let me be a stay-at-home mother while trying to launch my own business and has offered love and support every step of the way. It's been tough to always move and find a new job, friends etc I agree a support system is needed. There were times I asked him if he was seeing someone else and both times he answered no. Unless you have some super amazing other dating prospect there isn't a huge reason to cut this relationship off now.
